Railston wins Gold at SADI awards

 

 

 

The concept for the Samsonite display system was originated by G+A Architects, Paris and the brief for Railston was to manufacture and install the system in line with the concept and to value engineer the design to reduce transport costs and installation time on site. To achieve this the sizes were rationalised and the method of construction standardised. The equipment was designed to be flat packed to reduce transport requirements and the materials were also specified to increase the durability.

Samsonite have been delighted with the result and this equipment has been supplied and installed all over the UK and Europe. Most recently Railston completed installations at York, Manchester, Nottingham and Prague in the Czech Republic. Railston are very proud that the judging panel at the SADI awards thought the project was deserving of the Gold award and are continuing to work with G+A Architects and Samsonite on the next equipment design.
