Railston shortlisted for 2 SADI awards

Railston are delighted to have reached the shortlist in 2 categories for the Shopfitting & Display Industry (SADI) awards. The results will be announced at the awards ceremony to be held on Wednesday 18th June.

 The shortlisted entries are Samsonite for Best Fixed Display System Bespoke and Uniqlo, Oxford Street for Best Specialist Outlet or Shop Project.

Railston have value-engineered and simplified the Samsonite display system to reduce the installation time, make transportation more efficient and improve the durability. Overall this has resulted in a marked reduction in cost. The system consists of a number of different sized boxes which fit together to create the display. The boxes can have different backs to them and can also be back-lit to make the display distinctive. Areas for hanging and shelving have also been incorporated. The system is very versatile and perfect for displaying the extensive luggage range that Samsonite offer.
 
For Uniqlo, Railston manufactured and installed the perimeter system to 2 sites on Oxford Street, London and also to their store in Paris. The design came to Railston with some parts specified in Japanese. the first task was to interpret the design so that it could be made in the timescale available, whilst incorporating some parts that were sent over from Japan. There was no adjustability in the design and so each upright part had to be cut to size onsite, requiring skill and accuracy.
